Crossroads Prison Ministries staff and volunteers in Kenya are making an incredible impact in the lives of men and women in prison throughout the country. The team of 25 volunteer mentors travel, sometimes great distances, to prisons to hand deliver Crossroads Bible lessons and letters of encouragement.

Crossroads President Lisa Blystra and Director of International Ministries Cynthia Williams visited Kenya in November to provide training for volunteers and meet with students and prison officials. What they discovered during their trip was a healthy, fruitful ministry that is impacting 70 students in nine different prisons.

During their visits to prison facilities, Lisa and Cynthia handed out certificates to students who have completed Crossroads courses and preached the Gospel to both students and non-students. Four prisoners made commitments to follow Jesus.

Crossroads students expressed their thankfulness for the Crossroads Bible studies and their Crossroads mentors. One student said that he shares everything that he learns about the Bible with other prisoners. Another said that he will never be the same person he was before! He has been completely made new through his relationship with Jesus.
