Spend just a few minutes with Terry Ver Hage, and you will quickly learn something – she loves people.

Her face lights up when she talks about her husband, family and friends. But her smile beams when she talks about her friends in prison.

For twenty-four years, Terry has been writing letters to prisoners across the country, as a volunteer Instructor for Crossroad Bible Institute. She has connected with former drug dealers, penned caring words for men convicted of murder and encouraged the falsely accused.

“It has been the greatest blessing in my life,” she said. “They are my dearest friends.”
