Dear Friends,
This past November, the Michigan Department of Corrections implemented a new mail policy that directly impacts Crossroads Prison Ministries students. The new policy doesn’t allow materials with colored ink to be delivered to prisoners.
So we have discovered that Crossroads lessons are not getting to most Michigan students. A representative of the MDOC has been to our office for discussion of the problem. After this meeting, we were hopeful to find a solution for students to get our lessons, but so far there has been no resolution. This has been very discouraging.
So we are asking that you pray for this situation. Please consider setting aside time every Monday morning to join us in prayer. Here are some prayer points:
- Pray that our students do not feel that we have forgotten them.
- Pray that they continue to grow in Christ through other avenues.
- Pray that a resolution is found quickly and students can begin receiving lessons and letters.
- Pray that, in the end, God’s glory is shown during this challenging time.
Thank you for partnering with us in prayer, believing that God will open the door to all prisons so Crossroads lessons and letters can get in the hands of men and women that need them.
With gratitude,
Crossroads Staff
