Bahaa’s Story:
Freely Giving His Artistic Passion

Bahaa came to know Christ in prison. He grew in his faith as he studied the Bible through the Crossroads mentorship program.

Through his relationship with Christ, Bahaa has developed a deep heart of generosity. He has shared many of his incredible works of art with the Crossroads Prison Art Project. He is also teaching an art class in his prison facility in Michigan.

“Many of these students are far less fortunate and have many physical or mental disabilities,” Bahaa said. “Helping the least of these to find value and purpose in their lives while in prison is what inspires me.”

Bahaa said his love for Jesus inspires him to teach people in his unit new skill sets and new ways to “cope with being incarcerated in a creative and therapeutic way.” As students grow in their creativity and artistic skills, Bahaa also cares for their souls, pointing many of them to the Crossroads mentorship program.
