STATEMENT OF FAITH

The Bible is God’s Word; we can rely on it to guide us.

The Holy Scriptures as originally given by God are divinely inspired, infallible and entirely trustworthy and they are the supreme authority in all matters of faith and conduct. Hebrews 4:12, Matthew 5:1718, 2 Timothy 3:1617, Psalm 119:160

There is one true God, who is the Father, Son and Holy Spirit.

There is one God, who exists eternally in three persons: the Father, Son and Holy Spirit. Matthew 3:1617, Matthew 28:19, John 15:26, 2 Corinthians 13:14

Jesus Christ is our Lord and Savior.

Our Lord Jesus Christ is God manifest in the flesh. We believe in His virgin birth, sinless human life, divine miracles, vicarious and atoning death, bodily resurrection, ascension, mediatorial work and personal return in power and glory. 1 Corinthians 15:34, Hebrews 7:2527, John 1:14, Romans 5:68, Colossians 1:1520

The Holy Spirit lives in us, enabling us to follow Christ.

The Holy Spirit dwells within all believers, enabling them to live a holy life, to witness and to work for the Lord Jesus Christ. Mark 13:11, Matthew 10:1920, Luke 12:1112, Romans 8:117, 1 Corinthians 12:411, Galatians 5:1325

Salvation is by grace, through faith and not by works.

The salvation of lost and sinful humanity is made possible by God’s grace, through faith apart from works, through Christ’s blood shed on the cross and through the regeneration of the Holy Spirit. Ephesians 2:89, Romans 3:2128, Romans 5:111

The dead will be resurrected.

The resurrection of both the saved and the lost will occur when Christ returns. Those who are saved will experience the resurrection of eternal life; those who are lost will experience the resurrection of eternal death. John 5:2829, Matthew 25:46, 1 Thessalonians 4:1317, 1 Peter 1:3–5

We are called to be unified with all believers.

We believe in the unity of the Spirit among all true believers, who are the Church, the Body of Christ. John 17:2023, Ephesians 4:46, 1 Corinthians 12:1226, Galatians 3:2629
